It’s here! It’s time to take pre-orders for the Wisconsin Paddle Trail Map series.

The Wisconsin Paddle Trail series is a highly detailed, yet visually attractive and easy to read collection of stream paddle trails maps. These maps will be printed in color on EndurACE synthetic waterproof stock. It is truly waterproof and very durable. No need to take photos or make photocopies of guidebook maps anymore! You can take the map you need with you on the water. If you happen to lose or seriously damage one, individual replacements will eventually be available.

These maps will include the following details where relevant:

  • Access points
  • Mileage markers
  • Nearby campgrounds
  • Designated river-accessible campsites
  • Nearby roads for shuttling or reference purposes
  • Mileage between access points chart (for trails with more than two access points)
  • Whitewater features such as rapids, waterfalls, and drops/ledges if known
  • State and National Park boundaries
  • Any other known permanent features or amenities such as restrooms and water supply

Each set of maps is available in a loose set with a cover sheet listing all 50 sheets/100+ maps in the series. For an additional charge, your set(s) will be 3-hole punched and inserted into a 3-ring binder with the cover sheet on the front sleeve. NOTE that shipping will also be a little more expensive with the inclusion of the binder.

There will be a total of 5 sets in this initial series. The first four include streams with flatwater and up to Class I+ riffles and whitewater. The Wisconsin Whitewater Set covers Class II and above whitewater streams (any stream on which wearing a helmet is recommended). They will be printed in the following order:

  1. Southwest Wisconsin
  2. Southeast Wisconsin
  3. Central and Northeast Wisconsin
  4. Northwest Wisconsin
  5. Wisconsin Whitewater

Refer to the product image gallery to see the cover sheet artwork with the entire list of streams and sections covered by all 50 sheets. Additional trails may be added to the initial 50 sheets if there is available space on a sheet. The print list will thus change slightly over time – a couple modifications have already been made.

Pre-Order Details

Your pre-order guarantees that you will receive the Southwest Wisconsin and Southeast Wisconsin sets of 10 sheets each (1 or more maps each side) and a coupon code for free membership on the Paddle It! website (a $9.99 value). Black and white raster PDFs of the entire map series will be available there as they are completed.

Pre-order pricing for this initial offering will be $24.99 plus tax and shipping. Add $2 to have your set(s) 3 hole punched with an attractive binder to keep your maps organized. Pre-order pricing will end after February 26. After that, normal price will be $29.99 for the first set with quantity discounts for additional sets.

I have set up stretch goals for the pre-order process that will get all customers additional benefits if we meet those goals. These goals are as follows:

  • ✔️ 150 pre-orders – Everyone will receive the Southeast Wisconsin Set for no additional charge. WE DID IT! All pre-orders will receive the Southwest WI set for no extra charge.
  • 250 pre-orders – Everyone will get a coupon code to add the Northwest Wisconsin Set for $4.99 (adding additional sets will be $9.99 after pre-order period ends).
  • 350 pre-orders – Everyone will get a coupon code to add the Northwest and Northeast Wisconsin Sets for $9.99 (vs. $19.99 after pre-order period ends).
  • 450 pre-orders – Everyone will get the Wisconsin Whitewater Set for no additional charge.

Timing

The Southwest Wisconsin sets will be printed in time for you to be able to pick up your set from the Paddle It! booth at Canoecopia in Madison on March 8-10 if you want to save on shipping. The more pre-orders I receive, the faster I can crank out the remaining sets. If we meet any of the stretch goals, sheets that are ready in time for Canoecopia can be picked up at that time. If you opt for Canoecopia pickup, any sheets not ready in time will be shipped at no charge to you as they are available.  Your entire order (including additional print items you have purchased) will be shipped as soon as all items are back from the printer – no later than April 1.
